Author, poet, teacher, and speaker. Survivor of many traumas, and is well known for her outspoken advocacy for trauma victims and survivors. Expert Witness. She has worked with law enforcement agencies and social service agencies , teaming to put an end to abuse.

Works with client's whole being-- spirit, soul, and body. Teaches correlation between the mind (thoughts, feelings) and the body. Kathryn believes that the body is directly influenced by the mind and spirit-- and that we are wonderously and intricately created by God.

Pastor Kathryn has personally counseled hundreds over the years, beginning in Youth For Christ at age 14. Her style of pastoral counseling/therapy incorporates the entire person: spirit, soul (mind, will and emotions) and body. The Holy Spirit is a very welcome and active part of each session.

Kathryn is Holy Spirit-filled and has a powerful prophetic anointing both in song and in word. She is a prophetic psalmist and also operates in the office of the New Testament church modern day apostle, "sent one", and seeks to see everyone reach their destiny in Christ Jesus.

Pastor Kathryn is a pastor to pastors and leaders, and her heart burns to see the Kingdom of God established on earth. She is a gifted teacher and speaker as well, and was a noted expert in the secular world in the fields of domestic violence, grief, and childhood trauma. The Lord called her from the secular arena after leading many to the Lord, and has now placed her in a decidedly Christian atmosphere. This is a pastoral counselor who LIVES what she teaches.

Kathryn Peterson van Rooyen met Jesus in a dramatic way at the tender age of seven, and has been His "hand-maiden" ever since. She has had multiple dramatic encounters with God throughout her life, beginning even before her salvation. She has experienced visions, visitations from the Lord and from Angels of the Lord. Kathryn grew up accustomed to the presence of the Lord in her life. He has always been her friend and companion. Her life has been a triumph over situation and tragedy through grace, and she freely shares her story of Jesus' touch to restore her life from destruction.

She was violently abused in many ways as a child (and suffered PTSD-- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder-- as a result), which God has turned to good by gifting Kathryn with an overwhelming abundance of compassion for others. Her father was violent and mentally ill, and she was sexually abused by seven people between the ages of three and seven. There was more sexual, mental, and emotional abuse as she grew toward adulthood. Her father was also a known pornographer, (he was born again, accepting Jesus as Savior before his death, praise God!), and God has retrieved her life and used this little one for gain.

Pastor Kathryn is married to David and has seven babes in heaven and three here on earth with one (adopted at birth, not knowing she had brain damage from birth mother's severe alcoholism during the pregnancy) still at home. Dr. Kathryn and her family now live in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains of Appalachia, nestled in the mountains of Tazewell County, Virginia.
